Kathmandu â Chitwan â Pokhara with Dhampus Trek:

Nepal is a small country located in the Himalayas between India and China and has over 40 Ethnic Groups with 70 spoken languages. Nepal is famous, as the world's only Hindu Kingdom. However, it is an intricate and beautiful tapestry formed by the interweaving of Hinduism, Buddhism and other believes. Religious tolerance and harmony such as is found in Nepal, is perhaps a unique example for the world.

While travelling you will discover the political and the cultural capital of the country and its narrow winding streets of the hippies era, medieval temples, palaces, and ancient Buddhist stupaâs, Pheva lake of Pokhara and magnificent view of mighty Himalayas snow clad mountains, Safari in Royal Chitwan National Park to spot some of the endangered species as of one Horn Rhinoceros and the interaction to the insight of Nepalâs rural life style. While trekking you will enjoy mesmerizing view of mighty Himalayan peaks, will get insight of their culture when interacting with hospitable local population.

Itinerary

Upon arrival, a representative from Himalayan Frontiers will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Depending upon your arrival time, we will arrange for activities for the day. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu. Check in hotel is from 12 non onward. Night in hotel.

After breakfast drive to Bhaktapur sightseeing after lunch drive to Nagarkot to see the sunset and overnight at hotel. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a perfect example of Ancient Nepalese art and architecture. One can also observe the lifestyle of ‘Newa People’. This square boasts up with numerous temples, ancient palaces, monuments and importantly culture. After sightseeing drive back to Kathmandu. After sightseeing we will drive to Nagarkot which is around 32 kms away from Kathmandu valley .Stay overnight in Nagarkot. Night in hotel.

Early morning weak up to see golden Mountain View in Nagarkot. After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu and sightseeing in Pashupatinath Nath, Buddha Nath and Kathmandu durbar square. Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most important shrines of the Hindu followers. It is one of the biggest and most powerful Shiva’s temples. This place possess much more of cultural behaves and exchanges. The art and the architecture can be seen scattered around each and every corner of the Pashupatinath temple. Boudhanath: Boudhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu and the largest one in Nepal. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism. The stupa is located in the town of Boudha, on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu. After the sightseeing of Boudhanath we will drive further ahead till Sankhu and start the hike. The hike passes through beautiful villages and forests with excellent views of the mountains on the background. The hike is usually 3-4 hours walk depending upon the person’s walking skills. Kathmandu Durbar Square: Kathmandu Durbar square reflects the palaces and the livelihood of kings of that era when Nepal was just coming into existence. This was the place where the foundation of modern Nepal is formed. This place used to be and still is the center heart of Kathmandu. It’s filled with palaces astounding monuments, perfect handicrafts and art, the home of living goddess (Kumari) called Kumari Ghar, biggest example of a pagoda style monument. And back to hotel. After sightseeing drive back to hotel. Night in hotel.

After breakfast city tour in Patan and Swayambhunath stupa. Patan: Patan also known as Lalitpur which is lies around five kilometers southeast of Kathmandu. It is the best representation of Nepalese art and architecture. It has the highest density of temples as compared to Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. Some of the common monuments are Krishna Mandir, Patan Durbar square, Mahaboudha, Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, Kumbheshwor and many more to see. Swayambhunath: Swayambhunath is one of the most important sites for the Buddhist followers. It is also one of the oldest temples in Nepal. It is the symbol of peace and eternity all around the globe. It is situated at a hilltop from where whole Kathmandu city can be observed. It is not only important for religion but also for art and culture. Being habitat for monkeys around the jungle it is also called "Monkey Temple". Night in hotel.

Today, after breakfast, you will drive to Chitwan. It takes around 5 to 6 hours to reach Chitwan depending upon the road condition and traffic. The flight takes around 20 minutes. You will experience the change in weather and temperature as you reach this city at the foothills of Churiya hills. The home of Nepal’s first national park, Chitwan offers you a diversity of flora, fauna and other touristic activities. Upon arrival, you will be provided refreshment and briefed about the hotel and the activities. At 4:00 pm you will visit around the local Tharu Village on an Ox Cart. In the evening at 6:45 pm you will enjoy the cultural program by the Tharu people. Overnight at Chitwan. Night in hotel.

Today, after breakfast at 7:30 am you will go for a ride in a dugout canoe in the nearby Rapti River. Then you will visit the Elephant Breeding Center. You will have lunch at 12:30 Pm. At 3:00 Pm you will enjoy elephant Back safari in the nearby forest. You will then return to the hotel. Night in hotel.

Today after breakfast, you will drive from Chitwan to Pokhara. It takes around 6 hours to reach Pokhara. Once there you will check into the hotel. You will have the rest of the day free to visit around the lakeside. You will visit Davis falls, Gupteshwor cave and beautiful temple of Bindhabasini, Boating in Phewa Lake and visit the Barahi temple in the middle of the lake. In the evening, you will return back to your hotel. Overnight at Pokhara. Night in hotel.

We will leave Pokhara early in the morning by car to Nayapul. Thus we head towards Ghandruk by trek through Birethanti. It might take 4/5 hours to reach Ghandruk through steep hill trail. From Ghandruk we can see beautiful Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Himchuli & Annapurna south. We will manage guest house at Ghandruk inclusive of full board meals. Night in lodge.

After breakfast, we will have a breath taking views of waterfalls, landscapes, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Fishtail and other mountains. And we will visit the Annapurna conservation office and museum in afternoon. We will continues our walk to step down till Modi Khola and then climb up steeply about an hour more then we reach to Landruk. Night in lodge.

Early morning we can enjoy the view of Sunrise, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Machhapuchhre & the countryside. After breakfast we leave Landruk almost flat trails about an hour then little steep for 20 minutes to reach Tolka. After Tolka trail follows through forest then starts again steep ascends about one & half hour to get Deurali, from where you can see valley of Pokhara. There tea shops are available between Tolka and Deurali. After Deurali trails leads you gradually descend to Dhampus via Pothana.

This morning will be one of the great morning with views of Annapurna Himalayas & scenic settlement villages, walk down to Dhampus Phedi (approximately one and half hrs.) and then drive to Pokhara (about 30 minutes}. Night in hotel

After breakfast, fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu, Later as per your flight schedule our representative will drop you to airport for your onward flight

In the mountains, especially during the high trekking season, it is often not possible to get a single room due to the limited number of lodges and the high number of trekkers. As a result, accommodation must be shared and adjusted as described above in accommodation column. If there is room available and clients want to have single room than it will cost USD 10 -15 per night this can be done on the spot subject to availability.


Where meals are not included in the city of Kathmandu and Pokhara , there are abundance choices of restaurant of Nepalese, Indian, Chinese and continental delicacies. You can calculate10 USD per person per lunch and 15 USD per person per dinner in standard tourist restaurants. However you can go beyond the mentioned budget or can find the budget friendly restaurant in the streets.

Fee to charging camera/mobile in lodges 1 time cost: While trekking there is certain amount to be paid when charging the camera or Mobile battery at each lodges and guest houses, in Annapurana Region about USD 2 to USD8 (Higher you go the cost rise high)

Annapurna/Manaslu Region: about USD 02 - USD 08 (Cost rise in higher elevation)


Our guide will carry the first aid Kit including medicine for altitude sickness (diamox), pain relievers, anti-diarrheal medication bandies, Antihistamines for allergies. Don’t forget to bring Personal Prescription Medication.

Trekking Permit (ACAP – Annapurna Conservation Area Permit) and TIMS card (Trekking Information Management System).

Require scanned passport and scanned photo for permit.


Trekking itineraries may be altered due to landslides, weather, or local events. Vehicle breakdowns, roadblocks, or unforeseen local disruptions may require alternative transport.

Client cooperation is requested any extra costs incurred locally must be bare by the client.


Company is not liable for flight cancellations, natural disasters, political unrest, and strikes.

Any additional accommodation, transport, or emergency expenses must be covered by the client.
